Calendar and clashes
Read the availability calendar and how the clash guard stops an accidental double-booking.
The calendar answers one question at a glance: what is out, what is free, and what is due back. The clash guard stops the mistake that ends with two renters at the kerb for the same car.
The availability calendar
Go to the Calendar tab. You will see a strip of dates with each car's hires laid across it, so you can read availability without opening anything. Alongside it is an Upcoming hires agenda, listing what is coming up in date order.
Only cars from your fleet with dated bookings appear here, so the calendar stays clean and true to your actual fleet.
Paging through dates
The calendar shows a window of dates at a time. Page forward and back to look ahead or review what has been. There is a Today jump to snap straight back to the current date whenever you have scrolled away.
The clash warning
If you try to book a car for dates that overlap a hire it already has, KeyProof flags it. You will see a Clash marker on the affected car.
The clash guard also fires when you raise a booking: if the dates overlap an existing hire for that car, you are warned before the booking is created. You can still go ahead with Create anyway when you know the overlap is intentional, for example a same-day return and re-hire. See Raise a booking.
The point is simple: you should never double-book a car by accident. If two hires overlap, KeyProof makes sure it is your decision, not a slip.
