A small overhead. A stronger record.
An unpaid Blackwall or Silvertown crossing is a £180 penalty, and a Dart Charge is £70. Both go to the registered keeper, not the driver. Passing one on needs a signed agreement naming a verified person, with dates that cover the crossing. That is what every KeyProof record holds.

Pricing questions
Is there a free trial?
Not during the private beta: beta operators pay no platform fee until Monday 4 January 2027, so no trial runs, and none is added afterwards. Firms that join after launch get 30 days free on every plan, with no card needed to start them. The free days run from when a founder sets your firm up, and on a card plan we ask for a card before they end.

A £4.99 verification fee at check-in, which they pay themselves and which covers their identity check. It is the same during the beta and after launch. Your firm pays nothing per hire, and KeyProof takes no cut of your hires: your money is paid straight to you. The licence check is your own free check of their DVLA share code on gov.uk.

The first five beta operators are the founding cohort. From Monday 4 January 2027 they pay £49 a month at any fleet size, locked for as long as you stay. A place counts once a firm is accepted and set up. Leaving ends the founding price.

There is no minimum term on monthly billing: plans are billed a month at a time, and to stop, you tell us. Tell us too when your fleet changes, so we move you to the plan that fits. You sign our operator agreement, and what happens to your records when you leave is set out on the hard questions page.

Yes, from launch. Starter, Growth and Pro can be paid yearly at twelve months for the price of ten, so two months are free. A founder sets yearly billing up with you; it is not something you buy online.
