Why it exists.
Independent hire firms take bookings over Instagram and WhatsApp, take a deposit and check a licence by eye. It is fast and personal, and it leaves nothing solid the day a handover goes wrong: a car comes back scratched, a hirer stops answering, a penalty notice arrives weeks later.
On that day the firm has to show what happened, and the proof is spread across a phone, a camera roll, a card terminal and a message thread. KeyProof keeps the firm's way of working and adds the record underneath it.
How we build it.
Two principles. Where KeyProof stops is on the operators page, and how it is protected is on security.
- The firm decides
- KeyProof records before and after. It never scores damage, decides fault or tells a firm whether a charge is justified.
- Hold less
- ID images stay with Stripe; KeyProof keeps the result. Records are deleted on a set schedule unless held as evidence.
