Weekly billing for long hires
Bill a long-term hire by the week, with a running amount due and a reminder when a week is up.
A long hire does not have to be one lump at the end. You can bill it by the week, so the money comes in as the hire runs rather than piling up.
Billing a hire weekly
Open the booking, find the money section, and choose Bill weekly. Set the amount to collect each week; if the car has a weekly rate saved, that is offered as the starting figure. KeyProof then tracks what is due as the hire runs, working from the weekly amount and how long the car has been out.
Collecting each week
When a week is up, the hire appears in Priority actions on your Today screen and in your morning brief. You take the money your own way, then tap Mark week collected. That adds the week to the same paid ledger as any other payment and rolls the next due date forward.
If more than one week has gone by, the button says so and clears them all in one go, showing you the total it is recording. Turn weekly billing off at any time and the hire goes back to a single balance.
Weekly billing is for genuinely long hires. For a normal short hire, set the price on the booking and take it as usual. Nothing here charges a card: it records what you collected.
