The morning brief and alerts
The daily email digest, and the phone alerts you can switch on so nothing on a hire slips past you.
KeyProof nudges you so open work does not get forgotten between a car going out and coming back. Two things do this: a morning brief by email, and optional phone alerts.
The morning brief
Each morning you get a brief by email: what is due back, what is overdue, hirers who still need to check in, weekly payments due, unpaid balances, and fines that need action. It pulls from the same queue as the Priority actions list on your Today screen, so the email and the portal always agree.
It goes to your portal login address, falling back to the notification email you set in Settings under your firm's contact details. See Your hire agreement and eligibility rules.
Phone alerts
You can also turn on alerts, so a nudge lands on your phone rather than only in an email. Open the alerts card in the portal and allow notifications when your phone asks. Once it is on, KeyProof pushes you the morning nudge, and events on your own firm as they happen: a hirer finishing their check-in, or a hirer asking to extend a hire.
The morning alert also sets a number on the KeyProof icon on your phone, counting what is due back today, what is overdue, and any weekly collections due.
Alerts are opt-in, per device, and scoped to your own firm: they never carry another firm's bookings. If you use KeyProof on more than one phone or computer, turn them on wherever you want them, and turn them off again from the same card. Install KeyProof to your home screen first for the most reliable alerts on a phone. If the alerts card is not on your screen at all, alerts are not available on that browser or they are blocked in its settings.
What your hirer gets
Your hirer is emailed too, and that is separate from your brief. See the automatic messages section of Send the hirer link.
