The evidence view on every booking

Open a hire and the evidence leads: the ID and licence results, the sealed agreement, both photo sets, the money, and the milestones, each read from what is actually stored.

Open any booking and the first thing you see is not a form, it is the evidence: what KeyProof actually holds for this hire, right now. Every line is read from a stored fact, never inferred, so what this view says is what the sealed record will say later.

The evidence lines

• ID: the stored result of the Stripe Identity check, with the time it completed. A check carried forward from an earlier hire says "Verified on an earlier hire" with the date the original check was done, because a reused check must never read as a fresh one. A check that did not complete shows its state as stored, never dressed up as a pass. Before the renter has checked in, the line says so.
• Licence: the branch depends on where it was issued. A GB licence shows whether the DVLA share code has been checked, is held but not yet checked, or was removed by the 30-day sweep. A licence from outside Great Britain reads "inspected at handover" once you have marked it, and is never called verified or checked, because no authority exists to check it against.
• Agreement: signed and hash-sealed, with the first characters of the seal shown so you can match them against a printed incident pack. See The sealed record and incident pack.
• Photos: the handover and return counts, from the sets actually uploaded, with a button that jumps straight to them.

The money, in the same glance

Beside the evidence sits the hire's money: the total, what is paid, the balance still owing, and the deposit in its own words, whether that is held on card, handed back, claimed in part or in full, expired, or taken directly your own way. Anything recovered shows as its own line: deposit money withheld for damage, fines recharged to the renter, and what your insurer paid out. Those three are separate pots and are never added together, so no figure ever implies a recovery you did not get.

The milestones

Under them, the hire's spine as a checked-off timeline: renter checked in or verified, the deposit when the hire has one, handover photos, on hire, return photos, returned, and the record sealed at close. A step with a stored time shows it; a step the booking stores no time for shows none, because inventing a timestamp on an evidence product would poison the well.

The deeper sections

Everything else on the booking sits below, folded: the activity timeline, the handover log with fuel and mileage, the eligibility checklist, notes and disputes, condition photos, and any additional drivers. The summary on top never disagrees with them, because it is derived from the same stored columns they read.

Nothing in this view is a judgement. It shows what was captured and when; whether to hand over the keys, chase a balance or raise a dispute stays your call.
