Ask the renter for a review

The rating and comment your renter can leave at the end of the hire, and how to point them at your public review page.

The moment a hire ends well is the moment a renter is most likely to say so in public. KeyProof asks for you, in the link they already have, so there is nothing extra to send.

How it works

  1. The car comes back and you mark the hire as returned.
  2. The renter's link changes on its own. Instead of the return step, it now shows a short thank-you, five stars to tap, and a box for a comment.
  3. If you have set a review link, a button takes them straight there to leave a public review.
  4. You close the booking when you are done. At that point the link goes quiet and shows only that the hire is complete.

Leaving a review is optional. The renter can skip it, and a rating alone is enough: the comment box can be left empty. A renter who already left one sees the thank-you rather than being asked twice.

Where the review shows up

The rating and comment appear on the booking, in the review section, with the date. It is your own feedback on your own hire; it is not published anywhere by KeyProof and it does not appear on any KeyProof page.

Go to Settings and set the link you want renters sent to, usually your Google business profile. The same link is used by the Review request WhatsApp message. Without a link, the renter can still rate and comment, they just do not get the public-review button. See Your rental agreement and eligibility rules.

The window is deliberately short: between marking the hire returned and closing it. If you close a booking the moment the keys are back, your renter never gets asked, so leave it at returned until you have finished the paperwork on that hire.
